Whenever I feel a cold coming on my first port of call is Garlic. Known as nature’s antibiotic, garlic has antioxidant, anti fungal, antiviral and antibacterial properties which are cancer-fighting and immune-boosting.
To really benefit from this amazing remedy I eat 3-4 raw cloves of garlic a day which helps me when I’m feeling symptomatic. You can also juice it and mix it in with lemon ginger and honey. The taste is not the most pleasant but it will knock colds and flu right out!
Taking a high quality probiotic and eating fiber is also important to make sure you have a healthy store of good bacteria to help you tackle any infections in the body. So the next time you feel a sniffle coming on, make sure you reach for the garlic before reaching for the pills!
