I’m lucky enough to be close to a huge park and have horses which allow me to escape the city and get into nature. Being out with my horses, breathing in fresh air and taking in the scenery always seems to relax me because it shifts my perspective from internal stressors to the grander scheme of things.
Stressors that come from within the body like our emotional state, our energy levels, mood and attitude have a direct impact on how we perceive the world around us.
Being surrounded by huge trees or going to the beach and seeing the enormous power of the ocean waves can help deal with any inner turmoil we may be feeling by re-focusing our mind. Even if you don’t have time to go outside just opening a window and giving yourself time to take in the skyline can help. It’s the simplest remedy and it’s free!
